What does a typical day look like for a professional tennis player? Well, it depends on who you ask but if asking Eugenie Bouchard it includes at least a few hours on the court and much more. In the latest installment of the "In Their Shoes" series with sponsor New Balance she briefly discusses her intense day-to-day schedule.

The Canadian usually takes the court two times per day for an hour and a half per session and also hits the gym for a couple of hours as well. Her packed training routine doesn't end there though, she makes time for massages and physical therapy. With that much energy exerted on a daily basis, it's important for Bouchard to not neglect rehab as it's just as crucial as practice.

"It's a full day, it's a full-time job," Bouchard says in the video series.

The 2014 Wimbledon finalist also discussed her aggressive playing style and describes her demeanor both on and off the court as "intense and impatient." While she believes this attitude helps her go for shots and take risks on the court, Bouchard is looking to change this particular mindset outside of competitive match play.

The 27-year-old has always been a fashion enthusiast and this is what makes her partnership with New Balance so special. Not only does she don the latest apparel, but she often has her hands in the design process. She looks forward to creating her own collection with the brand, but for now is zeroed in on recovering from arthroscopic surgery. Earlier this year in Guadalajara she tore her subscapularis, but is already moving her arm and getting in cardio workouts.

"It makes me appreciate the chances I do get to play more. So, I'm training and as soon as I'm ready, I'll be out there and more motivated than ever," Bouchard said.
