Over 75,000 people poured into University of Phoenix Stadium on Monday night to watch North Carolina beat Gonzaga for the 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship.

But perhaps there was a more dramatic matchup in recent days — American big men John Isner (6'10") and Reilly Opelka (6'11") took a break from the tennis court to play some one-on-one basketball. Okay, maybe the first-to-three encounter wasn’t all that intense, but it was comical to say the least.

The two big-serving compatriots jokingly agreed that the loser would spot the winner a break of serve the next time they compete on the tennis court. Let’s be real — that is the equivalent of handing over a set with the way those two serve.

Regardless, the highlight of the game was really a lowlight. Isner is likely to remind Opelka about his airballed fadeaway with a chance to win for years to come.

Neither Isner nor Opelka are the next coming of Dallas Mavericks great Dirk Nowitzki, that is for sure. But there still had to be a winner.

Game. Set. Match. Isner, 3-2.

If that basketball game wasn’t enough March Madness for you, the Americans are not the only ones who have had fun on the basketball court.

Take a look at Nick Kyrgios, a diehard Boston Celtics fan, take on the ultra-athletic Gael Monfils on the hardwood.

Perhaps Monfils has a future shooting hoops after his tennis career. He had some fun with tennis balls and some garbage cans during a practice at the end of last year.

At least the players are having fun.
