John Isner just took home the biggest title of his career at the age of 32, and he couldn't be more grateful. After winning the Miami Open over 20-year-old Alexander Zverev, the American was emotional, and extremely thankful to everyone that has played a role in his career.

He credited a lot of people for his surge in success (after a terribly slow start to 2018), including his chiropractor of six years, Clint Cordial.

"It's not anything that he did this week. It's what he's done through the course of the six years that we have been together," Isner said. "And I have been very healthy for six years, as well, I will knock on wood. That is in large part to him: adjusting, putting this machine on me, or massage. It's everything. There is so much that goes into it."

Isner's game came together perfectly across his two weeks in Miami. Some personal life changes may have also played a role in his newfound stability on court. In December, Isner married Madison McKinley in a country-themed Southern wedding.

"I think you have seen other players in the past that play well when they get engaged or get married. I think Andy Murray is one, for sure," Isner said. "My personal life is very stable. That does help. It settles things down. You do realize that there are a lot more important things than tennis.

"I have been put in a very fortunate position. I'm married to the love of my life, and I play a sport for a living. It's pretty special."
