The University of Georgia Bulldogs have climbed up to No. 2 in Week 10 of the college football rankings. Perhaps nobody in tennis is more proud than American John Isner, who played all four years for the Bulldogs.

Isner isn’t just jumping on the bandwagon. Back in July when he picked up his fourth title at Atlanta, he showed confidence in Bulldogs football.

He’s been loyal as a dog to coach Kirby Smith, supports the eager fans and has never conceded to rivals like Alabama and Clemson.

Isner’s Bulldogs are looking for their first national championship since 1980, five years before he was born. Back then, they boasted a great running game behind legendary freshman Hershel Walker who would win the 1982 Heisman trophy and go on to star in the USFL and play for the Dallas Cowboys.

On Saturday, Georgia trounced rival Florida 42-7 to maintain an undefeated 8-0 record. They are on pace for a showdown against No. 1-ranked Alabama in a month's time.

If the Bulldogs keep barking, look for more support from Isner—who'll have some spare time to watch football during the incoming offseason.
