Ivanovic joins PlaySight team as partner

Recently retired Ana Ivanovic has officially joined PlaySight, the New Jersey-based company behind SmartCourt technology, as a partner and ambassador.

“I honestly feel that technology is only going to play a larger role in tennis in the future, and I love what PlaySight is doing by connecting the next generation of athletes with high tech expertise,” said former No. 1 and 2008 Roland Garros champion Ivanovic. “I think PlaySight is only going to encourage more kids to pick up a racket and give tennis a try. All levels of tennis players can benefit from training smarter with PlaySight’s analytics, instant video, fair play line calling and gamified tennis training. It’s exciting!”

Ivanovic joins an illustrious group of PlaySight supporters including Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Pete Sampras, Novak Djokovic, Tommy Haas, Paul Annacone and Darren Cahill.

PlaySight SmartCourts are in universities and clubs around the country, including at the newly opened USTA National Campus.

Recently, PlaySight launched the PlayFair Challenge system to help improve sportsmanship and decrease time wasted on arguments by allowing junior and collegiate players to challenge using the on-court technology.

This is just the beginning of Ivanovic's post-tennis life, as she told fans in her retirement announcement that she has already lined up other ventures in fashion, health, lifestyle and philanthropy.
