In the midst of a breakout season, Jack Draper took time to chat with British Vogue about his passion for fashion and rise up the ATP rankings, accompanied by a chic photo spread shot by Clay Stephen Gardner.

“I quite enjoy being in front of the camera,” the 22-year-old told Featured Editor Emily Chan. “If I’m looking good, that is.”

The 2024 answer to Andre Agassi’s “Image is everything” drew an eyebrow raise from 2014 Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard, who hit Twitter/X with a hot take of her own in the wake of the article hitting the internet.

“If I had said this 10 years ago I would have been crucified,” proclaimed the outspoken former No. 5, who is working as a Tennis Channel analyst as the grass-court season kicks into high gear.

Draper began the swing with his first ATP title in Stuttgart, a result that took him to a career-high of No. 31 and is all but guaranteed to make him the top-ranked Brit ahead of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, where he could be seeded for the first time.

Set to face reigning Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz at the cinch Championships in Queen’s Club on Thursday, Draper clarified that while modeling is indeed a fulfilling side hustle, tennis remains his top priority.

“Right now I’m giving myself the best chance to progress and beat the best players in the world.”
