Jack Draper championship speech at Indian Wells

With glossy spreads in Vogue and a modeling contract baked into his management agreement with IMG, it's no wonder why *Esquire* magazine says Jack Draper's latest brand deal "makes a lot of sense." The world No. 7 is the new face of British luxury fashion house Burberry, as announced earlier this week.

The British No. 1's new partnership, which puts him on par with other young ATP stars that have deals with luxe brands like and , launched Thursday with imagery of him wearing a black Burberry T-shirt, with the fashion house's signature tan checkered collar, with a khaki jacket.

"His drive, dedication and optimism, on and off the tennis court, make him a perfect match for Burberry," the brand wrote on social media, as Draper gushed similarly about the opportunity to represent the nearly 200-year-old brand alongside other famous faces including Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan and Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min.

“Being able to represent Burberry as a brand ambassador is a real honor for me,” Draper said in a statement. “I have admired the brand since I was a kid — it’s an iconic house and represents classic British style."

Draper's collaboration with Burberry follows his front-row seat to the brand's show at London Fashion Week last summer, his first high-profile public appearance after a run to the semifinals of the US Open. The Indian Wells champion will star in the brand's High Summer campaign later this year.

Burberry's chief creative officer Daniel Lee hailed Draper, who last month secured his Top 10 debut by winning his first ATP Masters 1000 title by upsetting Alcaraz along the way, as "already one of his generation’s most talented sportspeople."

"We are looking forward to watching his matches over the next few months," Lee said.
