Instead of talking about tennis, Outside the Ball chatted with the world No. 1 doubles team about padel. It’s like a combo of tennis and squash, played inside a walled court with special paddle racquets. The lack of a proper court didn’t stop them from paddling some balls around.

“I feel like people once they start playing, they really enjoy it,” Soares said.

Soares and Murray teamed up in 2016 to win the Australian Open and Wimbledon (as well as Sydney).
