Kuznetsova hands out superlative awards

The Russian made some big picks in Melbourne.

In Melbourne, world No. 10 Svetlana Kuznetsova candidly discussed her toughest opponents, both current and retired.

She said that Serena had and has the best serve, while volleys and reflect volleys she awarded to Martina Navratilova. She gave the Belgian some love, with Justine Henin winning for best one-handed backhand and Kim Cljsters getting top points for fastest speed.

As a two-time Grand Slam champion and 17-year veteran, Kuznetsova has every right to share her opinions on her greatest opponents.

The 31-year-old, who defeated Mariana Duque-Marino in the first round of the Australian Open and then Jaimee Fourlis in the second, is hoping to continue to carry her great play from the end of 2016 deep into the first Slam of the year.
