Nick Kyrgios got a lot of grief for his obsession with Pokemon Go, but who cares when you're the best? He set out to prove himself among his ATP peers in the Pokemon Go Challenge in Cincinnati.

The Australian's biggest challenger was teenager Taylor Fritz, but he also had to deal with the likes of Kyle Edmund, Alexander Zverev and Borna Coric. The players had to overcome stormy weather, app malfunctions and busy golf carts.

Coric was a first-time Pokemon Go player, and struggled most with the climate, while Zverev seemed the most mentally discouraged.

"I caught it on the trash can," the German says. "That's where Pokemon belong."

There was no lack of effort though, and no corner of the Cincinnati grounds left uncovered. Edmund tried running to find more prey, while Kyrgios attempted to hijack a golf cart. In the end, Kyrgios held onto his self-proclaimed title of "the best" with a haul of 10 Pokemon.

"Told you I was the best at catching them," Kyrgios says.

Coric may have finished last in the challenge, but he's on top in Cincinnati after beating Kyrgios in the first round and then upsetting third-seeded Rafael Nadal, 6-1, 6-3 to reach his first ATP 1000 Masters quarterfinal.
