Madison Keys caused an uproar Down Under by storming to victory at the 2025 Australian Open, earning mad props from acclaimed artist Lil’ Wayne in the process.

“Congratulations Maddi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he wrote on X Saturday. “You earned and deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The rapper and longtime tennis enthusiast was evidently up early watching Keys close out two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka and capture her first Grand Slam title, praising both players for their quality play over two hours on Rod Laver Arena.

“Unforgettable match! Thx to both players for their display of skill,resilience and grit. Simply amazing! Wonderful Aussie Open! F**k yeah Maddi!!!!!!!!!!!”

Weezy is no fairweather fan, following the tour for the last two decades and frequently giving his tennis takes: last year he shouted out another big hitter in Jelena Ostapenko, who went to a concert he did with Drake last spring.

He famously predicted both US Open champions back in 2010, listing the Williams sisters, Maria Sharapova, and Rafael Nadal among his favorites.
