Aryna Sabalenka w_ an Ace Paloma

Aryna Sabalenka is serving up wins on and off the court in North America, as Maestro Dobel Tequila unveiled on Monday a new curated cocktail with the two-time Australian Open champion—aptly named the Marg-Aryna.

One year ago in Cincinnati, Sabalenka announced a partnership with the 11th generation tequila maker, whose presence at tennis events has grown exponentially in recent years. This week she’s marking the occasion with her first signature beverage, which features a tropical-flavored soda twist.

“We came up with this perfect match of Dobel Diamante and the tropical punch Olipop, because I really drink it a lot and that‘s one of my favorites,” Sabalenka told Baseline’s David Kane in Cincinnati.

“We thought, why not try to mix it together and see how it goes? I think it turned out delicious and I hope people will like it…

“I think that after ‘Tiger’ and ‘Saby’, ‘Marg-Aryna’ is going to become my new nickname!”

Maestro Dobel Tequila is set to return to the US Open as the tournament’s “Official Tequila”—complete with a world-class hospitality experience at the Dobel Tequila Club.

Riding the wave of increased interest in tennis, Maestro Dobel Tequila has partnered with several of the top tournaments in the U.S. since 2022, including ATP and WTA 1000 events at the Miami Open, BNP Paribas Open and the Cincinnati Open.

Dobel is also set to return to the US Open for the second year as the tournament’s Official Tequila—complete with a brand new hospitality experience at the Dobel Tequila Club. The tequila maker also continues to support its “global tennis maestros” Sabalenka and Taylor Fritz—who unveiled his own signature cocktail with the brand in Miami.

"In recent years, we’ve seen U.S. consumer interest in premium tequilas increase exponentially—led by consumption of the ever-popular paloma and margarita cocktails,” said Lander Otegui, SVP Marketing at Proximo Spirits.

“With consumer interest in tennis also expanding in recent years, particularly among a younger multicultural audience, it was the perfect match for Maestro Dobel to become the ‘Official Tequila’ of the US Open last year."

Dobel is offering variations of its fan-favorite Ace Paloma cocktail this year, including a low-calorie version.

Dobel Tequila hit all the right notes with the fan-favorite “Ace Paloma”—crafted with Dobel Diamante Cristalino, grapefruit soda and fresh lime—which returns this year to the US Open with a new souvenir cup created by Mexican industrial designer Ricardo Casas.

Fritz and Sabalenka have also both put their own spin on the classics, with the tropical soda-themed “Marg-Aryna” following Fritz’s spicy margarita. Both players’ curated tequila cocktails will be on the menu at the US Open—the first player-inspired cocktails to be served at the tournament.

“This year at the tournament, we’re bringing the best in Mexican hospitality, cocktails and cuisine with the opening of the Dobel Tequila Club—a new elevated bar and restaurant serving up featured drinks like the Dobel Tequila Ace Paloma, and pairing them with classic Mexican dishes from Chef Enrique Olvera," Otegui added.
