Standing squarely in the face of that: Margaret Court, 24-time major singles titles winner and a Pentecostal pastor. Since the vote, Court has threatened to leave Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's Liberal Party – a substantial threat, given that her husband, Barry Court, is that party's former president.
"They're not allowing you [conservatives] to speak," she said post-vote. "I don't think I want to be with either party."
