Although Daniil Medvedev didn't capture the 2019 US Open, the Russian is running on an all-time high. Medvedev reached the final in all three of his hard-court US Open warm up events, capturing the title in Cincinnati with a win over Novak Djokovic along the way.
Medvedev went on to the US Open where he battled the tough New York crowds, but as he kept winning, the crowd's opinion started to turn. The world No. 4 pushed Rafael Nadal in a five-set final clash, winning New York over by the end.
The Russian has been busy since his first Grand Slam final appearance in New York, recently interviewing with Vogue Russia for their upcoming October issue.
