Daniil Medvedev celebrated a milestone birthday in Melbourne, turning 25 with a "Down Under the Sea" cake. The Russian gave himself the best gift which was a straight-set win over Roberto Carballes Baena to advance to the third round of the Australian Open. He also had balloons and another cake waiting for him in his hotel after his efficient day of work.

Medvedev has been simply unbeatable lately: he's on a 16-match win streak dating back to his ATP Masters 1000 title in Paris. He would win the ATP Finals in London, and then help Russia win the ATP Cup.

"Winning almost everything in straight sets is important, so I'm feeling confident about myself," he said. "I know that I can do well, but a Grand Slam is not an easy thing."
