Madison Keys Returns to Court at Indian Wells | TC Live

Morgan Riddle took a trip down memory lane to share the “not-so-glam moments of traveling,” and it’s not for the faint of heart.

The 27-year-old content creator and fashion influencer, who has been dating world No. 4 Taylor Fritz since 2020, took to Instagram on Monday after an X-ray machine mishap resulted in her nearly losing her hoodie. That got Riddle thinking, and sent her reminiscing on Stories:

"My hoodie got sucked into the X-ray at TSA this morning and it reminded me of a few years ago when one at JFK ate my shoe and we looked for it for 30 min... and then I had to do a 10 hour travel day with a singular shoe," she recalled. “I love travel!”

That prompted a series of throwback Instagram Stories chronicling some of her worst travel nightmares—including getting sick with food poisoning in Paris, Melbourne and Acapulco, as well as an alleged attempted kidnapping attempt that left her screaming for hotel security.

One clip shows Fritz, racquet in hand, preparing to defend himself and his girlfriend from would-be burglars as she recalled “Airbnb break-ins” in Santorini, Ibiza and London. “Happened to be in the residence during all three,” Riddle added.

In another image, Riddle shows off her wounded bare legs, covered in cuts and scrapes after “getting electrocuted in Eastbourne.” The influencer reportedly scaled a cliff, “annihilated her legs” in the process, before being shocked by a small electrified fence during a 2022 trip—all in search of the perfect Instagram photos.

The most harrowing anecdote details what Riddle calls an “attempted kidnapping” that took place while Fritz competed at the 2024 Abierto Mexicano en Acapulco. Riddle recalls that she had been filming the sunset near the ocean when two men reportedly tried to grab her, and then chased her down the beach when she fled.

“I had to sprint and scream for help from the security guards at the hotel,” she wrote, sharing the video she filmed—which included a glimpse of her would-be kidnapper hiding behind a tree.

“The tournament did tell us not to go out by ourselves but I wanted a photo of the sunset so this one was also on me lol.”

Despite all the travel nightmares, Riddle is still a regular presence on the ATP Tour and a jetsetter at heart. On Tuesday, her Instagram Stories showed her in Washington D.C. visiting the U.S. Capitol and chatting with New Jersey Representative LaMonica McIver.
