Muguruza proves tech savvy with personal app

French Open champion Garbine Muguruza has taken fan outreach to a whole new level with her own personalized app.

Available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices, the Garbine Muguruza Official Mobile Appoffers video content, photos and quotes from her. It’s like GarbChat, GarbiGram and Twituruza, all in one place!

It’s not all smooth sailing on the app, though, as the playlist functionality isn’t completely clear. It could use a guide of some sort on how to navigate around the app, as well as an “About Me” section. Plus, a game or two wouldn’t hurt!

It’s still in the early stages though, and is sure to be a treasure for her fans around the globe. The Spaniard is all-in on getting them to follow along.

Muguruza just wrapped up her 2016 campaign at the WTA Finals in Singapore. Her year can probably be best described as this: ho-hum, French Open win, ho-hum.

It was a testament to her ability that she was able to win her first major title, a year after making her first Slam final at Wimbledon. Ending the season on a positive note with a victory (over Svetlana Kuznetsova) in her last round-robin match in Singapore was important, and is something she can build upon going into 2017.

Her app will be there with her—and her fans—every step of the way.
