Following his first-round loss to Mackenzie McDonald in Eastbourne, Taylor Fritz and team made their way to the All England Club to prepare for the big one, Wimbledon.

And in this episode of My Tennis Life, we got it all on tape.

For instance, Morgan Riddle, Fritz’s girlfriend, invited Paul Annacone to join her on “hot girl walks” as he looks to improve his diet.

Words of encouragement came from both Morgan and Taylor, who advised Annacone to eat more protein.

And then, as any good daughter would do, Olivia Annacone throws her father under the bus.

“I come into the room and my dad has a full thing of digestive cookies, a bottle of Tito’s and a Rose,” she said.

Aside from worrying about Annacone's questionable dietary choices, the journey to Wimbledon continues as the Fritz team is now on the grounds and gearing up for the slam.

Annacone takes us back in time to his first time playing at the All England Club in 1984 against one of his heroes, Jimmy Connors.

“Every year I come here, I come up here and I sit down for five minutes and just reminisce,” Annacone said overlooking the stadium court. “Call me old, call me nostalgic, but most of all, call me grateful.”

This year was Annacone’s first visit back to Wimbledon since 2019, and once again he sat down and played back the 1984 match against Connors.

Unfortunately for Annacone and the team, Fritz’s Wimbledon run ended just as soon as it began. He fought off one five-set match against Yannick Hanfmann just to lose to another to Mikael Ymer 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the second round. Hopefully the American returns next year for revenge on the grass—and of course, so Annacone can reminisce once more.
