The regular season begins on Sunday as the New York Empire host the 2015 champion Washington Kastles in the first Mylan WTT match at Forest Hills Stadium at The West Side Tennis Club. The stadium was the former home to the US Open Championships for six decades.

The Empires are led by coach Patrick McEnroe and marque player Andy Roddick as well as Christina McHale, Guido Pella, Neal Skupski, Maria Irigoyen and alternates Noah Rubin and Daniel Nguyen.

The Kastles will have Sam Querrey, fresh from his Wimbledon quarterfinal appearance and upset of world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

His star-studded team is led by coach Murphy Jensen with Leander Paes, Madison Brengle, Anastasia Rodionova and marquee players Bob and Mike Bryan, Mardy Fish, Nick Kyrgios and Martina Hingis, as well as alternates Denis Kudla and Sam Groth,

Six teams will vie for the King Trophy, the league’s championship trophy named after co-founder Billie Jean King, from July 31-August 13. The top two teams from the regular season advance to the Mylan WTT Finals presented by Citi on Friday, August 26 in Forest Hills, N.Y.
