Name a sport that the University of Southern California does well in, and it's hard to be wrong. If forced to pick two, football and tennis might be the best choices from this athletic powerhouse. (Listen to our podcast with Hall of Fame men's coach Peter Smith.)

So it perhaps makes sense that these two athletic worlds collided when, on Saturday, four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka visited the L.A. Coliseum for the Trojans' spring football game.

Joined by NFL legend Jerry Rice and former USC quarterback Matt Leinart, Osaka donned a yellow AMBUSH hat, which she also displayed on Instagram, in a nice nod to the school's iconic colors.

She also, according to Tennis Channel's Chris Eubanks, hit a few balls while in town.

"I had the pleasure of practicing with her," said the world No. 87, who recently reached the quarterfinals of the Miami Open. "I told her, 'Hey, I'm coming out to L.A., do a little bit of Tennis Channel,' and the first question was, 'Did you bring your racquets'?

"She's still striking the ball exceptionally well. I can tell you she's working extremely hard to be able to maximize what she's able to do, post-pregnancy. She's coming out motivated, and I think it's going to be great for a lot of fans."

Fight on, Naomi.
