The Rogers Cup is already underway, but two players had a tough time before the tournament even began in Montreal.

Carla Suarez Navarro forgot to enter the main draw of the tournament, a place she would have easily qualified for being ranked No. 27. She had to fight her way through qualifiers as the top seed. Despite the error, the 29-year-old didn't seem worried at all, and, of course, she made it through to the main draw.

At least Suarez Navarro made it to Canada without a hitch. Bethanie Mattek-Sands barely got into the country after having troubles with her flight, thanks to disastrously stormy weather in Washington and New York.

The American eventually made it into Canada, having to drive across the border. From Newark Airport it's about a six hour drive, without any traffic.

Navarro will be facing No. 16 seed Naomi Osaka in the first round. Mattek-Sands, despite her best efforts to get the tournament, fell to Kirsten Flipkens in the qualifying draw. She's in the doubles draw with Lucie Safarova.
