Picture this: you're down 5-6 in a final-set tiebreak, sweat is rolling down your cheeks and your legs are wearing thin. It all comes down to physical stamina. Who has a little more gas in the tank—and, perhaps, who has the better shoes?

It may seem trivial, but gear plays a crucial role in keeping up with the demanding physicality of the sport. Recently, Nike upped their on-court shoe game by combining tennis and basketball, and it's an overhead slam dunk.

The new Air Zoom GP Turbo sneakers still maintain the flexibility, durability and feather-like weight as NikeCourt's Vapor and Cage models, but claim to add even more responsiveness.

Instead of the full-length Zoom Air being stitched to the foam, it's stitched directly to the upper. This means the shoe will respond to every step, as well as support the feet during quick cuts and sharp transitions.

"Coming in two colorways, the Air Zoom GP Turbo sneaker features a translucent woven mesh upper, a NikeCourt embroidered logo on the heel, as well as an Air Zoom tongue tab and a GP Turbo-branded footbed," Hypebeast Kicks wrote on Instagram.

For now customers can purchase the limited edition white and Court Purple for $140. The Coral/Blue colorway is set to release on July 13.
