The couple quietly tied the knot last December, having dated since 2015.

"I'm very excited to announce that I have married Mai Yamauchi on December 11th, who I have been dating for a long time," Nishikori shared the news on his app. "As for the off-season, I'm excited for her to travel with me for the coming season which is starting soon. While the corona virus will make things difficult, we look forward to your continued support in the future."

Currently ranked No. 42, the 12-time ATP champion is coming off a tough third-round loss to eventual quarterfinalist and Mutua Madrid Open winner Alexander Zverev at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia last week.
