Not so fast, says Judy Murray.

The tennis coach and mom of former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray took to social media to call out the speculation surrounding the player’s health—and slam the leaking of his “private medical details” to British press in reports over the weekend.

“When your private medical details are leaked to the media by someone you thought you could trust… So disappointing,” she wrote in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“And FYI – not ruled out yet.”

The update comes after an exclusive report by the British newspaper The Telegraph published on Sunday said that Murray was set to miss Wimbledon after undergoing surgery on a spinal cyst. The six weeks of recovery time would also jeopardize his participation at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, or even rule him out entirely.

Hours after that news broke the hearts of tennis fans, The Guardian published its own report that seemed to contradict it stating that “no decision has been made” about Murray’s participation yet.

Regardless, the saga is just the latest blow for Murray during a season that was meant to be his farewell lap. The 37-year-old announced his intentions of hanging up his racquets for good after this summer, with this year’s Wimbledon set to be his last—but multiple injuries have put a wrench in those plans.

In March during a match at the Miami Open, Murray suffered a full rupture of the AFTL in his left ankle and a partial rupture of the CFL. The grizzly injury sidelined him for two months, and he returned to action in the European red clay season. Last week at Queen’s Club, Murray was forced to retire from his second-round match against Jordan Thompson and withdraw from doubles at the cinch Championships due to a low back injury.
