Quarterfinal day at PPA The Masters in Palm Springs, Calif. saw Jack Sock and Genie Bouchard bow out.

Both lost in straight sets, with Sock falling to second seed Connor Garnett—formerly Novak Djokovic’s longtime hitting partner. Turning pickleball pro in 2022, Garnett kicks off his third year on tour into the semifinals in the singles bracket.

The final score was 11-2, 11-8, in favor of Garnett, clocking in at just 29 minutes.

Bouchard fell in 28 minutes to No. 5 seed and former WTA doubles pro Kaitlyn Christian. Christian won the WTA 250 Guadalajara doubles title back in 2022 and turned pickleball pro last year.

She faces Anna Leigh Waters’ doubles partner and No. 4 seed Catherine Parenteau in the semifinals, with Waters and Parris Todd on the other side of the draw.

Waters moves on in both doubles brackets as well, heading into the semifinals across the board and living up to the No. 1 seed status.

Mixed doubles partner and world No. 1 Ben Johns also continues his men’s doubles run with brother Collin.
