On, the Swiss sportswear label, continues to build its roster of players with Henry Bernet. The teenager joins a growing group that already includes major names like Iga Swiatek, Ben Shelton and Flavio Cobolli, as well as rising star Joao Fonseca.

In addition to his talent, it's Bernet's background that makes his inclusion in the group so remarkable.

Hailing from Basel, Switzerland, Bernet was trained at the Old Boys Tennis Club and boasts an elegant one-handed backhand. If that sounds familiar, it is because he shares the same story as On investor Roger Federer. Bernet will not only follow in Federer's footsteps, but will also wear Roger's signature shoes.

"It is an honor to work for On, a brand that represents Swiss excellence and innovation," Bernet said in the press release announcing the signing. "I look forward to being part of such a talented group of athletes and receiving their support as I continue to grow and develop my game."

Being compared to Federer is high praise, and Bernet has made an encouraging start. In 2024, he reached the quarter-finals of the boys' singles at Roland Garros as a qualifier. He then made his Challenger Circuit debut at the Zug Open, becoming the first player born in 2007 or later to reach the quarterfinals at that level. Later that autumn, he made his ATP debut at his hometown Swiss Indoors, knocking out Italian veteran Fabio Fognini in qualifying. Along with Jerome Kym, he reached the quarterfinals in the main draw in doubles.

In 2025, Bernet has already won the ITF J300 tournament in Traralgon, Australia, last week. He hopes to continue playing important junior tournaments while competing in more tour-level tournaments.
