Ons Jabeur and ASICS have just updated their relationship status to “official”.
The Japanese sportswear giant announced on Wednesday that Tunisia’s Minister of Happiness will continue to spread joy while wearing ASICS shoes on court, as she officially joins its global tennis roster.
"I’m proud to make it official, signing on to become an ASICS athlete,” Jabeur said in a statement. “I have always loved ASICS as a brand, their tennis products are renowned as excellent on tour.
“I also respect their values, which are so unique in the sports industry. Their focus on mental wellbeing sets them apart from other brands. It’s Anima Sana In Corpore Sano, which translates A Sound Mind In A Sound body. I’m thrilled to be representing such a value-driven brand at the highest level.”

Jabeur will be wearing the brand’s all-court Solution Speed FF 3 tennis shoe in competition; she also previously wore the Gel Resolution 9. The world No. 9 will complete her on-court ensemble with Kayanee apparel, having made the switch from Lotto to the Saudi Arabian women’s health and wellness brand at the start of the year.
The three-time Grand Slam finalist and former world No. 2 is set to “bolster the ASICS roster of athletes at this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris,” according to the announcement. Jabeur joins the ranks of Novak Djokovic, Alex de Minaur, Belinda Bencic, Beatriz Haddad Maia and Jasmine Paolini in competing with the brand’s shoes.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ons to the ASICS family,” said Mitsuyuki Tominaga, President and COO of ASICS. “Ons personifies the core values of ASICS, she will no-doubt be a strong ambassador for ASICS in the sport of tennis.
“Ons is a leader by example, she is positive and successful on tour, making her a perfect ASICS athlete. We are honored to support her on and off the court.”
