Naomi Osaka will be back on her most dominant surface at the Miami Open this week. She enters the WTA 1000-level event on a 21-match winning streak—capturing her fourth major title at last month's Australian Open.

Osaka doesn't believe in momentum, but she does believe in giving it all she's got.

"I don't really believe in momentum like that," Osaka said. "I feel like coming here, the conditions are so different from Australia that I can't count it. My new mindset is just do my best and I've never honestly really been past the quarters here. So hopefully that is my new goal."

The Japanese player hasn't won more than two consecutive matches in Miami. That could all change as she's in a major groove at hard-court events. Osaka claimed the last two Grand Slams on the surface, defeating two-time major champion Victoria Azarenka in last year's US Open final and Jennifer Brady Down Under this season.

Osaka was all smiles as she hit the practice court on Tuesday ahead of her opening match.

The Miami No. 2 seed is set to take the court on Friday against Ajla Tomljanovic. The round-of-64 encounter will mark the first time the two competitors have squared off.
