Bianca Andreescu has been the biggest breakout star in the first part of 2019, winning 31 of her first 34 matches—and the Indian Wells title—before retiring from the fourth round of Miami.

In her post, Andreescu recounted the time she spent, after successes in 2017 at Wimbledon and in Washington, bogged down by injuries and the pressure to live up to past results.
