Several of Pam Shriver’s major trophies were stolen along with her car after she was forced to flee the deadly Los Angeles wildfires that broke out last week, the former world No. 1 revealed on social media on Thursday.

The Hall of Fame inductee, who had been staying at a Marina del Rey, Calif. hotel after evacuating from her Brentwood home, transferred personal belongings to her car at the time it was taken. A series of wildfires have devastated the greater Los Angeles area since January 7, with power outages and looting being reported in the aftermath as firefighters continue to battle the flames.

“My son (and) I are at a police station reporting our car was stolen from the hotel parking lot we evacuated to when fires started,” Shriver wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“This was the car that had most of my major trophies being stored until we could safely move back home.”

ESPN reports that Shriver’s car, a Dodge Durango Hellcat, contained “five US Open trophies, five French Open plates and one Australian Open trophy” when it was stolen, representing 11 of the 21 major trophies the American won in women’s doubles and mixed doubles in the 80s and 90s.

"I was just starting to take things out to pack them in the car, and I was like, 'Where's the car?'" she told the network.

"...It's really sad on so many levels that when people are at their lowest and in their most difficult times, people are doing things like this."

Shriver, who is a tennis analyst for ESPN and Tennis Channel as well as the coach of WTA No. 19 Donna Vekic, was set to travel to the Australian Open earlier this month but canceled the trip to help manage her family’s needs.

Without her coach at her side, No. 18 seed Vekic has reached the fourth round in Melbourne for just the third time in her career. The Croatian took down No. 12 seed Diana Shnaider, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (3), 7-5, to advance on Friday—as Shriver took to social media to share clips of her player’s match point celebration.

The 28-year-old has kept her coach’s home city close to her heart during her run in Melbourne, signing a camera lens with the message “💙 LA” after defeating Diane Parry in the opening round.

“We were doing our pre-season in L.A. this year, so we were just there two weeks ago. So I really cannot believe what's happening,” Vekic later told press in Melbourne.

“We are very sad that she's not here with us. We are in touch daily, and I hope everything will be okay.”
