On Sunday, there will be a first-time Masters 1000 champion. Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas will face-off in their seventh career meeting for the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters title; their head-to-head record is tied, 3-3.

Rublev has never before made it to the final of a Masters, making this the biggest match of his career. The 23-year-old upset Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals, the first time he ever defeated the Spaniard.

Rublev then defeated Casper Ruud in the semifinals in straight sets to overcome the "Nadal curse".

On the other hand, Tsitsipas is familiar with this position. The 22-year-old reached the finals of the Canada and Madrid Masters in 2018 and 2019 respectively, but still does not have the elusive ATP 1000 title. Tsitsipas has not dropped a single set during his run in Monte-Carlo.
