The lightest and largest of the Pure Drives we tested, the 107 offers a surprisingly solid feel given its weight class. It has the sizeable sweet spot and easy power that fans of oversized frames covet, but it’s not so exorbitant that it’s disobedient with a moderate swing. It doesn’t take much effort to get groundies deep and serves scooting through an opponent’s service box.
The easy handling makes the frame quick on returns and nimble at net. There’s not a great deal of touch, but it’s great for nailing sitter volleys and overheads. As one tester put it, “I love this frame for beginners and up to 3.5 players. It’s forgiving and easy to control."
It does a little of the work for you, but not so much that you can’t learn to swing properly.
