There's a surefire trend permeating the WTA Tour this year, with various players, including Madison Keys and Nicole Gibbs, speaking to the words and effects of online hateration. Feckless ne'er-do-wells. Trolls.

Add Urszula Radwanska to that list of those troubled by said trolls. Announcing on social media that she ended her 2016 WTA season early because of a mononucleosis diagnosis.

The 25-year-old is currently ranked No. 292, but was as high as No. 29 in 2012. Her last tournament was a retirement in Seoul in September.

"Ula" Radwanska noted, "Recently I received a lot of negative comments from online haters."

In truth, that's what she led with in sharing her medical news. And it's understatedly sad that that's what she felt inclined to lead with in sharing the news.

Haters to the left; WTA players don't need it. And while they all would do well to ignore it, an admirable skill some tour veterans seem to have in spades, it stands to reason that such online trolling won't end soon. So maybe a behind-the-scenes Social Media 101 can be conducted so that the spate of players affected to the point of sharing their annoyances publicly can find solutions far better than coping with it.

No one should have to simply cope with such irksome offenders.
