A defending champion needs to have some moves up their sleeve. In Agnieszka Radwanska's case, she has that in spades as she proved with a deft drop shot volley against Shuai Zhang in the second round of the China Open.

The Pole won 7-5, 7-5, and will face Daria Kasatkina in the third round.

Radwanska has a lot more riding on this tournament than anyone else. If she doesn't at least reach the final, she will drop out of the Top 15. The 28-year-old hasn't been ranked below No. 15 since 2008.
