By this point, Rebel Wilson’s passion for tennis is well-documented.

There's her friendship with Karolina Muchova, which has included multiple appearances at tournaments to support her Czech friend. Wilson's Instagram'd about chance encounters with Billie Jean King and John McEnroe and even once declared that she “settled” for an acting career after her ambition of playing professionally didn’t come to fruition.

Now, the Australian has designs to channel that love for the sport to her home court—the big screen. Earlier this week, Variety revealed Wilson will produce and star in “Double Fault”, a tennis comedy.

The project is currently in development at Paramount Pictures' Players label. Details are limited, though the writers of the 2019 comedy “Blockers” are in talks to bring this story to life.

Dare we ask if Wilson will include Muchova in some shape or form? Talk about an ace pairing.

“Double Fault” is the latest tennis-driven production to be announced, following the Zendaya-led “Challengers”—a rom-com featuring “the stepping stone to the ATP Tour” as its backdrop. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, “Challengers” is expected to be released in August 2023 after wrapping filming in Boston this past June.

And who could forget in 2021, the release of “King Richard”, an acclaimed biopic about the Williams family. The movie, showcasing the incredible journey behind the rise of Venus and Serena Williams, was ultimately nominated for six Academy Awards.
