The sun never sets on the Swiss Maestro, even if the summer's over, because Roger Federer recently launched his latest collection of sunglasses with Oliver Peoples for the fall and winter.

The father of four announced the collaboration with the luxe boutique eyewear brand last year, and it debuted the first of what's expected to be four collections this spring.

The six frames in the first drop were inspired by tennis' four playing surfaces, but the latest FW24 drop consists of five new designs, handmade in Italy and modeled for launch by Federer himself at Los Angeles' Silvertop House. According to the brand, these new additions were "inspired by [his] elegance, sportsmanship and precision," as a "fusion of timeless design and impeccable craftsmanship."

Federer's Oliver Peoples collection follows other fashion collaborations with Uniqlo, JW Anderson, and On apparel and shoes after his retirement. But his singature shades, which Federer wore on the red carpets of last year's Met Gala and this year's Academy Awards are special, he says.

“They are something I frequently use as tennis required me to chase the sun 80% of my life," he said earlier this year in an interview with CNA Lifestyle. "Even after my professional career, I continue to travel and be outdoors, so I often have a pair with me.

“We designed the frames with reference to our own personal use. For me, I found I had sunglasses for so many different occasions–sports, everyday and events. It was special to create styles that could be universally worn for any moment.”

In the latest line, the sporty R-7 frames retail for $390, while the vintage R-8s will set you back over $500.
