This we know: Serena Williams is a karaoke fan. She's a fan of music in general as well, one who often knows the perfect song to accompany any setting, and to accompany her. (Consider how unfailingly inspiring that Beats By Dre ad is with Andra Day's "Rise Up.")

With that in mind, don't be surprised in the slightest–nor think that she slighted the competitors–when she offered up an instant classic of an anthem for a figure skater to perform to at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

None of the women competing in the ladies' singles event in South Korea was about to change up her routine to suit even a GOAT's musical whim, but the passion and the affectionate pride in their work was there from Serena.

A 2014 medalist from the Winter Games in Sochi–one Gracie Gold–weighed in on that matter, offering that BuzzFeed had instructed her, naturally via a quiz, that she should seek out "Let It Go" from Frozen as her go-to song on the ice. And indeed, she has history with that track:

As it turned out, no skater in the women's short or free program chose a Frozen soundtrack to accompany her. And that can be okay. The Russians battled it out for their country's first gold medal of the PyeongChang Games, with Alina Zagitova edging out Evgenia Medvedeva for the top prize. And with that, for four years more, we will all ... let it go.
