Serena cries after missing her baby's first steps

With all of the work Serena Williams is doing on court this week at Wimbledon, her 10-month-old daughter must have been inspired. Alexis Olympia Jr., who was born during the US Open, fittingly took her first steps during Wimbledon.

The problem is, the momentous milestone happened while Serena was practicing.

Of course, it's a devastating blow for the 36-year-old but her Twitter family was extremely supportive, and hopefully she feels a little better.

Serena was putting in work on the practice court ahead of her fourth-round match with fellow mom Evgeniya Rodina.

Williams has yet to drop a set, while Rodina has come all the way through qualifying.
