Wilson announced the launch of a new Autograph frame in August. The Blade SW104 Autograph honors 22-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, and as she says herself, the launch of the new frame is exciting.

It’s just the second such commemorative frame Wilson has released in the last 38 years. Other Autograph honorees include Roger Federer, Chris Evert, Billie Jean King and Jack Kramer.

“I still don’t really believe it,” Williams said at the Wilson release event just before the US Open. “I’m so excited because I’ve been with Wilson forever. I just feel like I’m just part of the family. I would never want to use another product.

“The W is for Wilson and Williams, and now I have this opportunity to have an Autograph racquet is really amazing.”

The new Blade features Countervail, a graphite material for reducing vibration and transferring energy. Originally developed for NASA, Countervail does help reduce vibration, but the real benefit is how it helps maximize your swing’s energy and minimize the negative energy transferring to your body.

Serena's new stick weighs in at 306 grams with a length of 28 inches and a head size of 104 sq. in. It arrives in stores in January 2017 with a retail price of $249.
