Serena explains her perspective changes as a new mother

Serena Williams recently sat down with the Tennis Channel, talking motherhood and family. The new mother's perspective has changed after the birth of her first child, Alexis Olympia Jr., in September.

"I think my mom is either the most amazing woman to raise five kids," the 36-year-old said. "Just having a kid on my own… I’m like exactly how did you do that again?"

Williams recently brought her husband Alexis Ohanian and her six-month-old daughter courtside to see her return to professional tennis at the Fed Cup tie against The Netherlands.

"Especially being a parent now just thinking about how everyday my dad and my mom were encouraging us to do the same thing and not to get tired of it or overwhelmed is really admirable," Williams said about her parents discipline. "I don’t know if I would be able to do that."

Williams is next set to appear on court for Tie Break Tens in New York on March 5.
