Serena Williams recently showcased her new ultra-modern home in North Miami in collaboration with Architectural Digestand it truly reflects the living space of a 23-time Grand Slam champion.

The 39-year-old's humble abode includes heated-floors in the bathroom, a sauna in the gym, and an immaculate terrace that overlooks an infinity pool that sits by the water outfitted with beautiful RH furniture.

Perhaps what is most elaborate is Serena's trophy room. Yes, trophy room not trophy case.

The world No. 11 walks around the bright open room in the home tour and shows off multiple pieces of hardware, which include Australian Open trophies, Wimbledon plates and boxes of Wheaties. Surprisingly enough ,a second place trophy sits on the shelf.

"I see a second place trophy, but I'm going to put that one in the trash," Serena said. "Shouldn't be in here, we don't keep second place."

This house took five years to bring to fruition and it wasn't easy. Serena lived with older sister Venus Williams on and off since 1998 in their shared Palm Beach Gardens property, but since marrying Alexis Ohanian and having her now three-year-old daughter Olympia, she was ready to have a home of her own.

The stunning waterfront property in south Florida was initially a 14,500-square-foot Spanish Mediterranean style home, but something didn't sit right for Serena.. She looked to Venus for assistance since her big sister owns a world-class interior design firm called V Starr.

“You have to know your lane. I’m really good at playing tennis; I’m not as good at interiors. But I was able to learn through just watching Venus," Serena told Architectural Digest.

Venus and V Starr managed to completely gut the Mediterranean property and make Serena's vision of a modern, minimalist style home come to life. Although the house is made up of sleek clean lines and high-end features, it also has this sense of comfort with tons of natural light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

When first walking into the house, instead of a traditional formal dining room area, Serena transformed the area into an art exhibit. Eccentric and colorful pieces bring the room to life and make it light and playful, instead of housing furniture that no one sits on.

"When you walk in, it’s like walking into an art gallery,” Serena said. “That’s my favorite part of the house. It’s so unique. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

From the wine cellar to the karaoke room, the amenities are endless in Serena's exquisite home, but it's hard not to notice one thing seems to be missing; a tennis court.

“I wanted to separate home from work,” Serena said. “I love being home. When you have our job, you never get time to relax. So it’s good for me to be able to sit still and not do anything.”
