A group of young school girls attended a private screening of the Black Panther and were given the surprise of a lifetime, a visit from Serena Williams.

The young women were part of Black Girls Code, an organization that provides technology education for African American girls. Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian was giddy over the planning and success of the night.

"Obviously this is a huge moment for black people. We've never had a super hero movie," Williams said. "I feel like I've waited my whole life for this and we're happy to be working with Black Girls Code to bring you guys out."

The 23-time major champion is rightfully seen as a real life superhero for many young girls, including her nearly six-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia Jr.

Williams is currently in the midst of a comeback to the WTA tour. She recently played doubles in the U.S. Fed Cup win over The Netherlands and will play Tie Break Tens in New York City on March 5.

Her first official singles match back is scheduled for the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
