On Wednesday night, Serena Williams won an ESPY award for Best Female Tennis Player (marking her 10th ESPY accolade). The nominees includedAngelique Kerber, Flavia Pennetta and Garbine Muguruza. The world No. 1 has won that same award before in 2003, ’04, ’09, ’10, ’11, ’13 and ’15.

Williams tied Steffi Graf’s record of 22 Grand Slams by winning Wimbledon last week over Kerber. The American has the most ESPY awards by a wide margin, with Maria Sharapova holding five. The 34-year-old has also won for Best Female Athlete in 2003 and 2013.

Much was made of the ESPY awards leaving Williams off of the Best Female Athlete category this year (which included winner Breanna Stewart, and nominees Elena Delle Donne, Katie Ledecky and Simone Biles).
