World TeamTennis is back in action with many players returning from last year and some new but familiar players joining for the 2019 season. The Vegas Rollers and Orlando Storm were added to the team count for the 44th season, expanding the total team number to eight.

A number of top players including Venus Williams, Sam Querrey, Amanda Anisimova, Frances Tiafoe, Madison Keys, Bob and Mike Bryan, Victoria Azarenka and Sloane Stephens are battling for their respective cities. The fun-filled action runs from July 14 through August 3.

Representing the Washington Kastles, seven-time Grand Slam champion Williams took the doubles court last Friday with youngster Marta Kostyuk. The pair lost a few crucial points which lead to them falling to New York Empire's Maria Sanchez and Kirsten Flipkens. Venus would beat Flipkens in the singles rubber.
