The ITF's Katrina Adams stays on the front lines for women with the Tory Burch Foundation Sports Fellowship

Garbine Muguruza has always had a love affair with playing in Mexico, and her 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Barbora Krejcikova in Guadalajara on Friday night only added to it.

She’s now won 11 of her last 12 matches in Mexico.

And in Muguruza’s only loss in her last 12 matches in Mexico, she very nearly won—she was two points from beating Pliskova in Guadalajara two nights ago at 6-all in the third set tie-break. Before that, she had won 10 matches in a row in Mexico.

The Spaniard will face red-hot Estonian Anett Kontaveit on Sunday.
