If you’re a tennis lover, summer is a season that brings to mind images of white dresses, pleated skirts and freshly cut lawns—both at the All England Club during the Wimbledon Championships, and at exclusive country clubs around the globe.

That seems to be the inspiration behind Celine's latest collection, a Summer 2023 capsule that’s all about nostalgic tennis aesthetics and luxe court-side vibes.

The French luxury fashion house unveiled “La Collection Tennis” alongside a dreamy campaign shot in St. Tropez, which was personally directed and styled by the brand’s creative director, Hedi Slimane.

Celine’s capsule features a wide range of ready-to-wear apparel that can transition seamlessly from the lawn tennis courts to an ocean-front brunch spot in a flash, including a wool varsity jacket, polo-inspired dresses and tops, as well as cropped tanks, vests, sports bras and more.

And it wouldn’t be Celine without some top-quality accessories, with La Collection Tennis featuring visors, camera bags, block sneakers and sunglasses. The highlight is a set of functional racquet bags and covers with a removable tennis ball pouch and buckle—all in the brand’s instantly recognizable ‘Triomphe’ motif.

Iconic for its minimalistic and sophisticated style—especially in its women’s ready-to-wear and luxury leather goods—Celine has been dipping their toes into sportswear and activewear in recent years. And with “La Collection Tennis” the French brand is officially going all in and embracing the ‘tennis-core’ look, a viral aesthetic that is equal parts sporty, preppy and stylish, and takes its inspiration from vintage tennis outfits.

The collection was available in selected stores—including at Los Angeles’ Rodeo Drive and New York City’s Madison Ave—on March 24, before dropping online at the start of April.

Prices range from $130 USD for a silk wristband, to $5,300 for a t-shirt made from lambskin.
