Taylor Fritz may be part of the ATP World Tour's #NextGen squad of players, but he's already thinking about his own next bold move, that off the court. Eliminated from French Open competition, the 18-year-old American phenom did the next logical thing in his mind.

He got engaged.

Fritz proposed to girlfriend and fellow tennis playing teenager Raquel Pedraza in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the City of Light, visibly surprising his ladyfriend with the tower glowing with illumination in the backdrop of an instant-classic photo.

Pedraza is a Blue Chip recruit for the class of 2017, who like Fritz, hails from southern California.

Retired compatriots Michael Russell and James Blake saluted the couple via Twitter, as did fellow rising American stars.

A few other noteworthy responses appeared as well.

"I'm definitely still a teenager," read a heading in Fritz's most recent journal entry on the ATP website. Even so, the No. 67-ranked up-and-comer will mature quickly in light of this news. And what timing: He's also the freshly heralded International Tennis Federation 2015 boys' world champion. Not bad for an engaged fellow.
