What was his transition to post-playing life like? Mark says he basically retired at the age of 28 in 2004, though he played a little bit through 2006 and played one ATP Challenger in 2010. Multiple knee surgeries ultimately ended his career early.

Let's talk Davis Cup. Mark is vehemently against the changes that will be in place for 2019 and feels sad for players that will never get to experience the joy he did representing his country in both home and away ties. "Why touch a piece of history?" he says. "They ruined something so important."
