The off-season calendar is already beginning to fill up with exciting options for tennis fans, and the TennisFest GNP is throwing its proverbial sombrero into the ring with a pair of mouth-watering matches when it returns this fall.

Carlos Alcaraz and Caroline Wozniacki will each feature in singles matches for the 2023 edition of the event, which debuted last year in the “La México” Bullring and featured a clash between Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud.

Alcaraz will renew his bourgeoning rivalry with Tommy Paul, while Wozniacki will continue her comeback campaign against a resurgent Maria Sakkari, who captured her second WTA title in Mexico last week in Guadalajara.

The addition of a women’s singles match is an expansion from last year, which only featured WTA players in a mixed doubles capacity when hometown favorites Renata Zarazúa and Santiago González took on Canadian/American duo Leylah Fernandez and Jack Sock.

Alcaraz was limited in his off-season offerings in 2022 after an abdominal injury ruled him out of the Nitto ATP Finals, but will undoubtedly be a welcome sight for fans after another successful season saw him win a second major title at Wimbledon and spend much of the year atop the ATP rankings.

Wozniacki enjoyed a warm welcome back to tennis after spending two and a half years off tour giving birth to children Olivia and James. A former world No. 1, the 2018 Australian Open champion most recently competed at the 2023 US Open, where she pushed eventual champion Coco Gauff to three sets.

The 2023 TennisFest GNP will take place on November 29. Click here for more information on the event and how to purchase tickets.
