The Baseline Player of the Week: Nikoloz Basilashvili

Nikoloz Basilashvili continues to have a strong 2021 season after winning the Munich Open title, his second of the 2021 season. The No. 5 seed defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in straight sets in Sunday's final to take home the title.

Basilashvili, who previously won the Doha title in March, was able to maintain his momentum after a 30-minute rain delay halted action, eventually winning his fifth career ATP title.

Throughout his run in Munich, Basilashvili never backed down. He did not drop a set in five matches at the tournament and needed only a little over an hour to take home the title. The 29-year-old only faced on break point during the entire match.

The Georgian is now 5-2 in ATP finals. With his victory, Basilashvili will jump back into the Top 30, but still has some work to do to reach his career-high ranking of world No. 16.
